Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture: Pure food for a good environment, removal of poverty, a better world

Dr Michele Caccia, one of four individuals appointed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to administer Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture worldwide, continued his recent presentation on the Maharishi Channel,* prompted by last month's 16-lesson course in MERU, Holland.

Dr Caccia explained that Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture is Unified Field-Based Agriculture, Consciousness-Based Agriculture—'consciousness is primary; everything is wholeness in motion, the dynamics of silence,' he quoted Maharishi as saying.

He went on to describe how, in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture, great importance is given to wholeness and to applying all of Maharishi's knowledge to both the soil and the seed at every stage of growth—for example, with recitation of Vedic Literature that applies to agriculture, and 'with farmers learning Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying.'

Also highly important in Vedic Organic Agriculture are 'farmers' housing built according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda [fortune-creating Vedic architecture in accord with Natural Law]; and pure food for good behaviour, good environment, better society, a better world, and the removal of poverty'.

'Maharishi taught that life is bliss,' Dr Caccia said. 'This is our birthright,' and with Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture, 'we can reach the point where bliss becomes blissful.'
