Experts speak on Vedic Garden Design at inauguration of new institute

'The purpose of Vedic Garden Design is to enhance and beautify Maharishi Sthapatya Veda' architecture, said an expert in Vedic Organic Gardening at the inauguration of Maharishi European Research University's new Institute of Vedic Garden Design.

Maharishi Sthapatya Veda is Vedic architecture in accord with Natural Law, also known as Maharishi Vastu.

Flowers, herbs, and other plants 'complement and are complemented by the pristine structural aspects of Sthapatya Veda', the expert continued. Vedic Gardens bring the beauty of nature to the buildings they surround.

'Vedic Garden Design incorporates all knowledge of nature . . . . Structures within the garden are proportionally perfect and complementary to the proportions and structures of the building,' the expert concluded.

As one of the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Vedic Garden Design is another gift adding one more layer to Vastu living, said a leader of the new Institute, a member of the Global Mother Divine Organization.

'We inaugurate this Institute of Vedic Garden Design today with the desire to create Maharishi Vedic Gardens for every Vastu home, for every Maharishi Tower of Invincibility, for every Maharishi Peace Palace, for every Maharishi Peace Colony,** and as well for all public parks and buildings everywhere,' she said.

'Let's decorate and sustain Mother Earth with Maharishi Vedic Gardens blossoming everywhere creating a beautiful, colorful, fragrant, auspicious, and nourishing Vedic world. . . .'
