On 28 August 2020 Thomson Reuters Foundation reported: Farmers who once had to sell at rock bottom prices -- and supplement their income cutting trees -- are getting a better deal. About 1,500 farmers have partnered with ethically-driven Ibis Rice, which guarantees above-market prices to 'wildlife friendly' farmers who patrol the forest for poachers and loggers while nurturing chemical-free paddy fields.
