Maharishi to establish Vedic system of justice in villages
by Surendra Panwar

New Delhi, India
11 June 2004
On 11 June 2004 Age of Enlightenment News reported:
Addressing the Indian media in his weekly press conference, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said that all Vedic concepts should work in synergy to create a perfect base for justice in society. Maharishi also announced his plan to establish Ram Nyaya Darbars (courts based on the Vedic system of justice) at the village level in India.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the fields of government and culture.
Maharishi said that there is an imperative need to establish a system of justice based on Vedic concepts, because the judiciary in every part of the world has failed to deliver. Terming the modern system of justice as 'fraud', Maharishi vowed to liberate justice from the rich man's pocket and establish it in the villages in the form of Ram Nyaya Darbars.
He said that justice varies from court to court in democracy, each court contradicting the other. This reflects the fallacies and illusions in the judiciary, he said. His idea of justice would be carried forward by Vedic experts and Jyotishacharyas (Vedic astrologers), who would remove conflicts between the individuals.
Maharishi said, 'The two persons fighting their cases in the courts want to be friends, but the lawyers will never let this happen. But the Vedic experts will make that possible'. The judicial system based on crime and punishment only creates conflicts and problems.
Maharishi traced the present ills prevailing in the judiciary to modern education. He said that this system is inspired by diplomacy, which is only capable of creating divisions in society. The system of justice he visualizes, would draw intellectual strength from the Vedic order--Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha.
Maharishi said that Vedic Education is based on the Vedic concept of Adhidiavik, Adhibhoutic Adhyamtamic, which is based on Vedic Administration. Vedic Administration has an overpowering capacity to provide security, nourishment, and guidance to individuals and society, in the same spirit as it functions in Ramraj. Justice is an inseparable part of it, he added.
The founder of the worldwide Transcendental Meditation (TM) movement also quoted the President of the US Peace Government, John Hagelin, as saying, 'we would achieve, what UN could not'. He said that the highest world body has not done any justice to any country.
Maharishi also had a piece of advice for the Indian government. 'Stop following the draconian ways of the US and UK. If you do that, you are not qualified to rule India.'
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
