Speaking to Indian media in his weekly press conference on the Maharishi Channel, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said that those who have degraded the word 'saffronisation' have no right to live in the country. He said that 90 per cent of the people believe in Ram, and it is their money that makes the government function. Yet these very same people are not allowed to practice their religion freely.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi criticised all those who in the name of secularism are degrading the Hindu religion India. He said the word 'saffron' is central to Hindu religion and any attempt to degrade this spirit should be given a fitting reply.

Maharishi said that administration and politics should be guided by the religion practised by 90 per cent people of the country. The word 'saffronisation' is degrading, he challenged. The founder of the Global Country of World Peace said that this situation has arisen because the country is guided by a man-made constitution. He said that humanly conceived ideas are full of flaws and inadequacies.

In India, the individual is not important, but the idea is, he added. However, Maharishi said he has asked the Vedics of India to remain unfazed by this campaign, and to perform the Yagyas and Anushthans, Griha Shanti and Vastu Shanti to radiate positivity and harmony.

Maharishi said that the prerequisite of Ramraj, is to establish Consciousness-Based Education, wherein every word is imbued with consciousness. He said that only Vedic Education can raise consciousness to the highest level. It is at this level that silence and dynamism becomes one.

Maharishi said that the administrators of the country should be trained in total knowledge and religion, which will awaken their consciousness, and once that is accomplished, they will look after their people in the same manner as parents nourish their children.

He also reiterated his resolve to open Rajkumar colleges to train students in Vedic Administration, so that his concept of creating problem-free administration and conflict-free society, could be realized.

Maharishi, the founder of the worldwide Transcendental Meditation (TM) Movement lamented that India, despite having the great knowledge of Veda, is pleading for dialogues with tiny nations to secure itself. He said that this is happening because the country has deviated from its Vedic path. He cited the example of the great Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan. 'He defeated his enemies as long as he worshipped divine powers, but had to capitulate to the same enemy the moment he deviated from that path and relied on his military.'

Maharishi said that people of the country have witnessed enough bloodshed. A man-made constitution has completely devastated the nation, and the irony is that people are still voting for its propagators. It is the same people who are against the worship of goddess Saraswati in schools and putting roadblocks to the construction of Ram temples.

Explaining the link between the sap of a tree and life in reply to a question, Maharishi said that this is the reflection of unity and diversity, and point and infinity. Sap is one, but its reflection can be seen in the many: such as leaves, flowers, stem and branches. In the same breath, he explained the relation between unity and diversity, manifest and unmanifest, using the analogy between the seed and the tree.

Responding to another query, Maharishi said that the popularity of Ayurveda is on the rise, because stress is increasing in society. He said that the Vedic concept of health is: liberation through knowledge. An awakened consciousness can prevent all physical disorders.
