Maharishi, the creator of the Science of Consciousness, said that democracy is leader-centric and is another form of dictatorship, which is tantamount to slavery. 'The nations in the name of democracy are only nurturing dictatorship.'

Maharishi expressed that the life of a leader is equal to the term of the parliament. Yet the strange paradox is that most of the countries continue to follow the US, where the life of the people has become miserable. Added to this is the irony that the media, which carries the responsibility of awakening the people, are singing to the tune of the West, which has gifted democracy to the world.

Maharishi said that only Ram Raj, supported by the Laws of Nature, could provide an able and flawless administration to the world. 'No one suffers in Ram Raj', he said. The administration in Ram Raj is guided by the Constitution of Universe, the Veda. He emphatically reminded that only Vedic Administration could offer practical programmes of economy, education, health, or governance.

Maharishi, the Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, said that Consciousness-Based Education for Totality and Vedic Health for perfection would be the prime objectives of the Ram Raj--Vedic Administration. This could be achieved by establishing the 'silent administration'.

Elaborating on the significance of the Guru in life, Maharishi said that it is the Guru who guides one to attain Total Knowledge and exposes one to the fields of the manifest and unmanifest. The Guru teaches one to rise to the level of self-referral consciousness. He makes one's intellect and behaviour synchronize at the level of transcendence. 'Guru is the key to learning the manifest through the unmanifest.'

In response to a question, the Founder of the Worldwide Transcendental Meditation (TM) Movement said that any principle one wants is present in the human physiology. This is Vedic Science. He said that the eight vowels of Atma are the eight streams of knowledge. Comparing modern education and Vedic Science, Maharishi said that modern education is childish and is not even an 'iota' of Vedic Science.

Responding to another query, Maharishi said that every day in India belongs to a Devata. On that particular day the collective consciousness of India could be felt in the expression of that Devata. The people get the support of that Devata on that day. This is just a reflection of Vedic Education.
