Global Raam Raj will soon eliminate negative trends: Maharishi
by Surendra Panwar

New Delhi, India
24 September 2004
Maharishi said that the system of four classes is a scientific mechanism which has the capacity to provide nourishment and strength to society. He is laying more emphasis on Brahmacharis, as the actions and perceptions of ordinary people are limited to their families.
Maharishi stated that administration today is guided by man-made constitutions which, instead of making society and the nation invincible, are functioning on the concept of crime and punishment. He said that this system has its own inherent limitations which do not transcend its superficial structure.
Maharishi said that the prime duty of any administration is to provide security to posterity, in the same way that it protects the nation from the enemy. Children need to be protected from the impact of their wrong actions from this birth along with those from their previous births through Yagyas or Graha Shanti. The Vedic Concept of 'Heyam Dukham Anagatam' (prevention from suffering before it arrives) can protect the whole society from negative tendencies, he said.
Maharishi said that the Indian press can play a vital role in the endeavour to establish Vedic Administration the world over by reporting the positive trends in society. He also advised them not to follow the Western press, which is only projecting the darker side of society. 'Western media is making India's national consciousness feeble by attacking the ethos of the society, so that Western political and economic interests can be accomplished.'
On the question of using Raam as a prefix to the names of the villages and cities, Maharishi said that Raam means 'purified consciousness'. The people living in such cities or villages have great spiritual energy which purifies their actions. He added that every day in India belongs to one or another Devata (God), and therefore every day is a festival.
Maharishi mentioned the discovery of Raja Nader Raam, the first ruler of Global Raam Raj, which verifies that Veda and Vedic literature are present in human physiology.
