Maharishi proposes Vedic Defence to Indian government

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of Global Country of World Peace has proposed to the Indian Government that if it allows only 0.1 per cent of the national budget for his Vedic Defence Technologies, he can make the nation invincible within six months.

Commenting on the recently announced Indian budget, Maharishi said that there was no sense in the government's decision to spend the country's huge resources on defence, because there is no guarantee that all this spending will ever provide security to the nation. Maharishi said the mightiest of nations, including the US, could not ensure invincibility to its people, no matter how much they spend on missiles and armies.

Maharishi, who has recently established Raam Raj Capitals in as many as 108 countries to provide problem-free administration, has asked political leaders if they could say honestly that the huge expenditure on defence since independence has made India invincible. Maharishi said if the answer to this question is 'no', it is sheer political bankruptcy to persist with this failed policy.

While agreeing that the soldiers in the military are patriots and can lay down their lives to defend the country, Maharishi said that this is not enough. The killings in the name of patriotism are just a waste of precious human resources. He said only Vedic Defence could provide permanent invincibility to the nation. India should not only follow this, but should also help propagate this throughout the world. He said that Vedic Defence is based on the Vedic concept of prevention of suffering before it has come, 'Heyam Dukham Anagatam'.

Maharishi said that his Vedic Defence Technologies for Invincibility are scientifically validated. And he then asked if the manufacturers of the missiles and the lethal weapons give any such guarantee: 'Can they say that the buyers can test them on the parameters of invincibility?'
