Speaking at the recent press conference on Creating Prevention Oriented, Problem-Free Government, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, said: '... in Maharishi's Vedic Tradition of knowledge there is the knowledge to change the destiny of a person. In fact it is the normal professional practice in the Vedic Tradition of knowledge to change the destiny of any individual.

'The word Maharishi asked the administrators of the world to remember in this regard, is the word 'Jyotish'. Jyotish is an aspect of Vedic Knowledge , one of the Vedangas, the 6 limbs of the Veda, whose particular field is to calculate on the basis of the time of birth, the tendencies for the future of one's life, and then having calculated them, if they are adverse in any way, hard or cruel in any way, to change those future events to prevent any negativity or danger or calamity, before it arises.

'This knowledge also applies to nations. The Vedic Knowledge can predict the future of nations as well, and then apply what is called Grahashanti—Vedic procedures performed by Vedic Pandits to take away that oncoming danger before it arises. As the Vedic Tradition says—Heyam duhkham anagatam—''Avert the danger that has not yet come.''

'This is the first principle that Maharishi brought out ... transformation of the destiny that has been created by one's past actions preventing any negativity from befalling anyone in the human race. All of those who are sleeping will be brought to wakefulness, and those who have been living in the darkness of night, through this knowledge can begin to experience the dawn of a new day.

'The second great point that Maharishi made, is that it is, in fact, possible for any human being to actually experience the Constitution of the Universe....

' ''Any human being'', Maharishi said, ''can directly experience that reality''. This is another part of the professional skill of the Vedic teachers to give anyone, any student in any school in the world, the chance to directly experience this mighty field of intelligence that runs the universe, and to directly enliven it and stimulate it in their own life and in the life of their nation. ....

'So this marvel of experience available to any child, in any school in the world today who enjoys Consciousness-Based Education , this is the gift that gives invincibility to every nation, ideal, prevention-oriented and problem-free administration to any nation on earth. ....
