Celebrating rising coherence: Leaders of the Global Country of World Peace reflect on the American presidential election

Leaders of the Global Country of World Peace, reflecting on the recent US presidential election, praised the Invincible America Assembly at a celebration on 6 November. Speakers paid tribute to Assembly participants who, through their group practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, had created an upsurge of coherence and harmony in the collective consciousness of the nation, thereby influencing the fortune and destiny of America and the whole world.

The celebration was hosted by Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, who had travelled to America especially for the election. The Assembly enjoyed remarks from Raja John Hagelin, Raja (Administrator) of Invincible America, who spoke by conference telephone from the Global Financial Capital of New York.

Reflecting on the presidential election, Raja Hagelin applauded the upsurge of positivity and unity that captured the imagination of the entire world. He commented that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, had introduced the concept of new principles of harmony and orderliness rising in the field of government with the rise in the collective consciousness of the nation. Raja Hagelin said that the credit for enlivening the infinite organizing power of Natural Law in the collective consciousness of America goes to all those who have been practising Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi programme, and especially to those participants of the Invincible America Assembly.

Raja Hagelin praised all those fortunate individuals who had used Maharishi's knowledge well to transform the world, and said that history would record the turning point in the destiny of the human race due to Maharishi's work.

Dr David Lynch, renowned film-maker and founder of the David Lynch Foundation, said that recent global events had inspired everyone to appreciate how connected they are with the whole world family. He said that on election night he had seen the faces of Americans 'filled with thankfulness and happiness. There were tears of joy . . . . it was much more than the election of a president. Maharishi had said that Sat-Yuga—Raam Raj**, was already established, and I pictured it rolling up. Sat-Yuga hit the surface on 4 Nov 2008 and was enjoyed by all America and went around the world. It was so beautiful.'

Dr Lynch read a message he had received from a well-wisher in France who observed that with the American election, 'here in Paris there was a growing sense of unity; a need for kinship seemed to float around us all, and this is the gift America gave us and we thank Maharishi'.

Dr Robert Roth, Director of Expansion for the Global Country of World Peace in America, said that Maharishi had provided the foundation for invincibility. He congratulated Raja Hagelin, saying that his ideal leadership provides inspiration for the leaders of all nations.

Dr Howard Settle, co-founder of the Howard and Alice Settle Foundation for an Invincible America*** said that the election marked a change for America, a shift in national consciousness, which only those on the Invincible America Assembly could fully appreciate.

*Dr Hagelin is a world-renowned quantum physicist and Executive Director of the International Center for Invincible Defense in New York City, USA.
