The 14-nation Invincible Africa tour of Dr Bevan Morris, President of Maharishi University of Management, is continuing its progress through several more countries. The tour is part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes in Africa, inaugurated by Maharishi 50 years ago to promote enlightenment for every individual and invincible peace and progress for every nation on the continent.

Starting in late January in four West African countries, and continuing in South Africa, Dr Morris has had a very full schedule of meetings with senior government leaders, ministers, educators, health officials, and other leading citizens, presenting Maharishi's programmes in many fields of life, including the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Consciousness-Based Education.

Following successful visits to Johannesburg, Durban, and Capetown in South Africa, he traveled next to the beautiful island nation of Mauritius.

In Mauritius, together with Dr Michael Dillbeck and Dr Susan Dillbeck, Trustees of Maharishi University of Management,* Dr Morris gave presentations to government and university leaders, addressed an organization for the preservation of Vedic traditions, and also gave an in-depth, hourlong radio interview.

From Mauritius Dr Morris returned to South Africa, where he met with a large group of new students at Maharishi Institute in Johannesburg, who were astonished and delighted to learn of the wide range of institutions offering Maharishi's Consciousness-Based programmes around the world.

He also visited the Institute's Ezemvelo Nature Reserve, a 4,500 hectare eco-campus one and a half hours from Johannesburg, that is the home of its MERU programme for educating students in conservation and sustainability.

Most recently Dr Morris has visited Mozambique, where he met with former President Joaquim Chissano, who implemented the Transcendental Meditation Programme widely in the country in the 1990s.

Global Good News will continue to report on Dr Morris's tour of Africa, including more about the successful activities in various venues so far en route.
