22 May 2005
On 22 May 2005 The Press-Enterprise reported:
Alarik Arenander, director of the Brain Institute at Maharishi University of Management, is promoting the healing powers of meditation in a series of lectures on the use of complementary and alternative medicine to help reduce heart disease and cancer. Referring to practising the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Arenander said, 'You live happier, you're more successful, and everything feels better.'
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of health.
The article went on to say that Dr Arenander has conducted full-time research in consciousness and brain physiology since 1993. Describing the meditative process he said, 'In meditation, you have a specific, coherent experience... It's unique and it doesn't involve any effort.'
The article also noted that Arenander believes the timing is right to offer lectures on alternative approaches to health. He told reporter Woods that modern medicine is the 'Number 2 or number 3 leading cause of death in this country.' He added that 'people over age 40 are looking for medicine that has more natural methods with no side effects.'
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
