A recent study showing that the Transcendental Meditation technique can aid patients with congestive heart failure was picked up by news outlets worldwide, including China, India, Germany, the U.K., and Canada. (See March 21 issue of The Review)

The Reuters news agency picked up the story and circulated it widely. The Scientific American website was among the many publications that carried the Reuters story. It was also covered by WebMD, a major medical website.

The study was a collaboration between researchers at Maharishi University of Management and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, which is ranked #2 in the nation for receipt of National Institutes of Health research funds; and ranked #3 in the nation in U.S. News & World Report's most recent ranking of top research-oriented medical schools.
