22 June 2007
On 14 June, the Indian Health Minister, Ms Panabaaka Lakshmi, was hosted by the Maharishi Ayurveda-Clinic in Bad Ems.
The visit was part of an information tour through Germany, which serves the Minister to gain a clear picture on the state of affairs regarding Ayurveda in Germany.
Apart from the visit at Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Germany, the Minister attended a Biomed-Seminar at the city of Würzburg and visited the Ayurveda-Academy at Castrop-Rauxel.
'We would like to inform ourselves first hand of how our government can support Ayurveda in Germany,' Panaaba Lakshmi said. Bad Ems Mayor Ottmar Canz welcomed the Indian Minister with a package of Bad Ems throat lozenges and an illustrated book about the region of Bad Ems.
Dr Karin Pirc gave a scientific lecture informing the Minister on the activities of Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre at Bad Ems.
