Speaking on a recent Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Robert Roth, Director of Expansion in the national administration of Raja John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America, announced that two pilot studies are to be conducted on the Transcendental Meditation Technique by a leading psychiatrist and professor in clinical psychiatry at a major US university.
One pilot study will be on Iraqi war veterans returning to America who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder. The second study is a US$1 million study on Transcendental Meditation and bipolar disorder, a disorder that affects almost seven million Americans. Funding has also been made available to promote the results of this study.
'It's very interesting how people are coming forward now, often long-time practitioners of Transcendental Meditation,' Dr Roth said. 'They are using their expertise to bring Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's knowledge to the forefront.'
