Announcing a Master of Science in Maharishi Vedic Medicine to begin March 2009 in Switzerland

Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine is Pleased to Announce a New Master of Science in Maharishi Vedic Medicine (Maharishi Ayur-Veda)
Two-Year Full-Time or 3 1/2-Year Part-Time Programmes

Students in the Master's Degree Programme will specialize in one of the five fields of modern medical specialties in theory and clinical practice: Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pediatrics and Family Medicine, Psychiatry and Neurology, and Geriatrics and Anti-Ageing Medicine in light of Maharishi Ayur-Veda.
These programmes fulfil the European Requirements for Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) according to the European Credit Transfers System (ECTS).
Recognition and career opportunities
Students will receive training in accord with the highest standard of natural medicine as follows:
- Bachelor of Science degree graduates are qualified to practise Maharishi Vedic Medicine in their own country, provided that natural medicine or naturopathy is accepted there. They can open their own practice where they can give consultations, diagnose imbalance in the physiology, prescribe specific treatments of Maharishi Vedic Medicine to restore balanced functioning of the body, and implement programmes for the collective health of the whole society.
- Master of Science degree graduates are qualified to practise as specialists in one of their chosen areas (see above). They will also be qualified to operate an official Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre (providing Panchakarma [seasonal rejuvenation programme]).
- Bachelor and Master of Science degree graduates living in Switzerland will also be qualified to practise Maharishi Vedic Medicine according to the EMR and ASCA regulations (required by Swiss health insurance companies for reimbursement).
Maharishi Vedic Medicine represents the full value of Ayurveda and all other Vedic approaches to health as revived by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and is often referred to as Maharishi Ayur-Veda. Maharishi Vedic Medicine is synonymous with Maharishi Ayur-Veda.
