At the recent concluding ceremony for the Maharishi Ayur-Veda course for physicians held in Japan, both course participants and course leaders expressed their deep appreciation for the knowledge of Ayur-Veda, revived in its completeness as Maharishi Ayur-Veda by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

One of the course participants, a leading surgeon in Japan, appreciated the course so much that she wrote a letter to Vaidya [expert Ayurvedic physician from India] Dr Manohar Palakuthi and Dr Walter Molk, the course leaders, expressing her deep appreciation and gratitude for all the knowledge she had received, and that it was deeply fulfilling for herself personally and in her role as a doctor.

This Maharishi Ayur-Veda course for physicians was a balance of clinical application and theory. The doctors completed the self-pulse reading programme, and practised this time-tested diagnostic technique on themselves many times a day throughout the course. Every day they learnt protocols for certain specific diseases, including which herbs, diets, and daily routines to prescribe, and how to promote balance in life based on specific conditions patients may have.

'The doctors left the course not only with theoretical knowledge but with practical protocols that they could begin to apply to their patients immediately,' said Raja John Konhaus, Raja of Japan for the Global Country of World Peace, speaking recently about the course. He also showed slides of the special concluding ceremony, during which each participant expressed gratitude to the course leaders and to Maharishi.

Dr Molk also expressed his gratitude for the course. It was deeply fulfilling for him to teach the course to doctors for the first time, having spent many years preparing it with Maharishi. The Minister of Health of the Global Country of World Peace for Japan, who has been an Ayurvedic physician, running his own very successful clinic for 17 years, also expressed his deep appreciation for the knowledge of Maharishi Ayur-Veda.

As the Raja of Japan, Raja Konhaus gave his special thanks and appreciation to all the course participants, and gave them the charge to spread this knowledge of Maharishi Ayur-Veda and Vedic Medicine not only to their own patients, but to their colleagues. In this way, he said, physicians all over Japan would have the opportunity to gain this knowledge through the Japanese Association for Maharishi Ayur-Veda Physicians.
