UK: Transcendental Meditation stirs high interest at The Yoga Show at Olympia, London

A major exhibit about Transcendental Meditation, Consciousness-Based Education, and Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care drew tremendous interest all three days during The Yoga Show at Olympia, London, 30 October - 1 November.

Large charts presented knowledge including increased coherence of brainwave activity, and students' practice of Transcendental Meditation. Created especially for the show, the charts could be read from a distance and attracted many visitors.

Many students and young people stopped by the exhibit, and were very enthusiastic about what they learned, asking deep, insightful questions. Yoga teachers who teach in the schools appreciated the value of Consciousness-Based Education, and the idea of a meditation technique that is natural and effortless.

Sixty people—as many as could be seated in the open-plan lecture area—attended an introductory talk about the Transcendental Meditation Programme on the first day. The audience was extremely attentive and a number of attendees wanted to learn the technique immediately.

Many people took advantage of the opportunity to have questions answered by a medical doctor who is also fully trained in Maharishi Ayur-Veda, and were greatly interested in Maharishi Ayur-Veda products on display. Visitors also took about 2,000 leaflets about Transcendental Meditation and 400 informational packets about Maharishi Ayur-Veda.

Teachers and practitioners of Transcendental Meditation who helped at the show described the great receptivity of the wide variety of people they spoke with, and the delightful character of the event itself.

Leaders of the Global Country of World Peace in England spoke about the event, along with Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace.*
