New programmes bring Maharishi Ayur-Veda natural health care and integrative medicine to millions of Americans

A new Health Professionals Training Programme in Maharishi Ayur-Veda—the world's oldest system of natural health care—has been offered in 2009 and early 2010 by Maharishi Ayur-Veda Association of America. Many physicians in the US are very receptive to integrating Maharishi Ayur-Veda into their practices, organizers say. The programme, developed by Stuart Rothenberg, MD, an expert in Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health, will expand in 2010.

Dr Larry Chroman, Minister of Trade and Commerce for the Global Country of World Peace, recently highlighted this and other achievements of the past year that are supporting the expansion, in the US and worldwide, of programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

Also featured in his address* to the global 12 January celebrations in MERU, Holland, was the growing success of Maharishi Ayurveda Products International (MAPI), based in the US. Under the guidance of the MAPI Board of Directors and President Dr Ted Wallace, MAPI's volume of business increased every month, beginning in June 2009, and has strong momentum going into 2010.

MAPI's dynamic new CEO, Steve Baumgartner, has formulated a plan to bring Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health to a large portion of the US population, and the programme will be adapted for other countries in coming years. Mr Baumgartner previously served as president of two very large companies with over US$1 billion in sales. He feels fortunate to use his expertise to support Maharishi's programmes, from which he and his family have personally benefited for many years.
