US: Consciousness-Based Education in a high school: Disciplinary violations down, 'everyone happier and less stressed'

Consciousness-Based Education programmes in the United States are showing very positive outcomes in schools, as well as increasing awareness of the benefits of the Transcendental Meditation Programme for many kinds of psychological disorders.

Dr Adam Pressman, National Director of Video Production for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, reported* on a Consciousness-Based Education project supported by the David Lynch Foundation in a high school in the southwestern US.

A video clip illlustrated many positive changes found by teachers, students, and administrators at the school, who have also noticed these effects in others participating in the programme.

Disciplinary violations of all kinds have reduced by almost 50 per cent at the school, and everyone is feeling happier and less stressed, according to reports featured in the video.

In the coming days, Global Good News will feature recent research of Dr Sarina Grosswald,** who has offered special training programmes for Teachers of Transcendental Meditation to bring the technique to people with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), which affects about 4.5 million students in the US, as well as other disorders.
