21 June 2010
On 19 June the first Maharishi Vedic Medicine courses started online from Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine in Geneva, Switzerland.
A complete vision of courses of Maharishi Vedic Medicine and how they are presented online was given on 18 June on the Maharishi Channel so that students could have an experience of studying with this new system of online education in Vedic Medicine.
'The purpose of the university is to give total knowledge of Vedic Medicine to everyone, together with all aspects of Maharishi Ayur-Veda and modern medicine,' said Raja Felix Kaegi, Raja of Invincible Switzerland for the Global Country of World Peace.*
A sample of the first online course—'Self-pulse reading for good health'—given by Dr Paul Morehead, Professor of Physiology and Health at Maharishi University of Management, was shown. In these new online courses one sees the professor speaking on the left side of the screen and a chart and points of the lecture on the right side. The lectures are recorded live, and it is possible to view any part of the lecture again later.
Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine comes under the umbrella of the Ministry of Health of the Global Country of World Peace, and offers one aspect of the total offerings of this ministry: education.
Dr Rainer Picha, Minister of Health of the Global Country, expressed his great appreciation and fulfilment that these courses in Vedic Medicine, developed over many years under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, are now available to everyone.
Global Good News will feature further articles about Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine in the coming days.
* Raja Felix Kaegi introduced the university and new courses on the 18 June Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
