Maharishi's programmes for health drawing new interest in Germany

The benefits of the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the field of health were featured at a large fair in Germany this spring, and were also the topic of a recent meeting with a government official.

Dr Eckhart Stein, eminent professor of quantum physics and National Director of Education for the Global Country of World Peace in Germany, spoke about health initiatives during a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first visit to Germany.*

Leaders of the Global Country in Germany recently met with a governmental leader in the field of health, Dr Stein said.**

At a brief initial meeting they presented to him a new brochure co-written by Robert Schneider, MD, featuring scientific research on the Transcendental Meditation Programme on health, especially heart health.

The extensive research displayed in the brochure always impresses people, Dr Stein commented. A few weeks after receiving it, the government official called to arrange another meeting, this time for two hours. He expressed great interest, and especially wanted to see how support from medical doctors in Germany would unfold in the near future.

Maharishi's programmes in the field of health were also featured at a large fair this spring, Dr Stein continued. The fair drew about 50,000 visitors and 70 exhibitors.

Visitors to the booth enjoyed cups of Maharishi Ayur-Veda tea while they listened attentively to health benefits of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care, and Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems.

They especially enjoyed hearing about the latter, Dr Stein said. The Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems expert at the booth has given more than 200 treatments in Germany, and many people wanted to speak with her about how it works.
