Can meditation help abused women and girls overcome stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicidal tendencies?
Emmy-award winning CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien moderates a distinguished panel of experts exploring new research and the clinical applications of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique for women veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and assault, teenage girls who have been rescued off the streets, and women and their children who suffer unimaginable horrors in war-torn areas around the globe.

Click here to view the full announcement, which features photos of the distinguished panelists as well as brief, compelling videos of these three women describing their experiences:

Supriya, 26, spent over a year in combat zones of Iraq. She talks about how TM eased her re-entry into civilian life.

Over 100,00 teens and girls are victims of life on the streets in the US. One teen tells how TM helped her overcome the nightmare of her existence.

Pemba's family was attacked by soldiers in the Congo, completely devastating her life. Here she recounts how TM helped reclaim her sanity.
