Transcendental Meditation health professionals association hosts successful webinar

The American Association of Health Professionals Practicing the Transcendental Meditation Program has been active in the last year in Washington, DC, organizing several conferences that present the medical benefits of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and encourage physicians and other health professionals to recommend it to their patients.

The association, which includes has thousands of members across the country, is led by Stuart Rothenberg, MD, who has pioneered the introduction of Maharishi Ayurveda natural health care to medical and health professionals. He is continuing to lead the way in educating physicians and other health professionals about the holistic and profound benefits of using Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's technologies, particularly Transcendental Meditation, in their practice.

Recently, the group has begun holding regular events over the Internet, mainly through a unique educational platform used regularly by universities like
Maharishi University of Management.

One recent such 'webinar' was viewed by about 1,000 people, including 100 health professionals and 900 interested viewers.

At this event, Norman Rosenthal, MD, clinical professor of psychiatry at Georgetown University Medical School and New York Times bestselling author of Transcendence: Healing and Transformation through Transcendental Meditation, spoke to the audience.

Dr Rosenthal described the benefits of Transcendental Meditation for many different medical conditions, including chronic or more acute conditions. He spoke from his own experience, from his own practice, and from the extensive research that he did in writing Transcendence.

'It was a very well-watched and enthusiastically attended event,' commented Adam Pressman, director of video production for the David Lynch Foundation, who recorded this event and a number of others in the series.
