India on alert as zika virus hits tourism hotspot of Jaipur

On 9 October 2018 Reuters reported: India has sent experts to try to contain an outbreak of the zika virus in the popular tourist destination of Jaipur, capital of the northern state of Rajasthan, with a close watch on pregnant women. There is no vaccine to the virus which can cause severe birth defects in unborn children. Global Good News service views this news as the failure of modern health systems.
