This book contains the most important information that exists today in the field of architecture and urban planning. It introduces Vastu* building, the world's most ancient and powerful system of construction, which is based on Natural Law. It shows how to build ideal homes, villages and cities that create a coherent and harmonious influence on their citizens, resulting in reduced problems and greater success, health, prosperity, and happiness.

Vastu Homes and Cities: Vedic Architecture in Harmony with Natural Law answers these critical questions about building in harmony with nature and shows how to build structures that nourish and sustain every aspect of human life. ''Laws of nature'' means those universal principles of intelligence that organize everything in nature from our human physiology, to all the species on earth, to our solar system, our galaxy and the whole galactic universe. With this expanded scope, the book proceeds to outline principles for creating ''the city as a holistic structure of Natural Law'', including the great benefits to be enjoyed by all who live and work there: ''When we live in harmony with the energy and intelligence of Natural Law that administers the whole universe, it supports us, and life is easy, fortunate, and peaceful.''

Filled with educational information and pictures of beautiful Vastu homes, the book emphasizes the importance of living ''in Vastu'', for example: ''This influence of one's home or office on one's life, though unseen, is entirely real; it is as real as the burning nature of fire, and the freezing nature of ice.'' As one new Vastu homeowner says, ''My experience is that my home is a totally safe, secure refuge, a sanctuary of purity and stillness and happiness.''

Vedic architecture, or Sthapatya Veda, is the most ancient and complete system of architecture and city planning. Veda means complete knowledge, Sthapatya means ''to establish''—thus it is the complete knowledge of how to establish a structure, so that it is alway in harmony with the laws of nature.

It is very interesting to read, how the laws of nature can be implemented in architecture today. The Vastu principles are explained in a very clear and simple way and documented by scientific research.''

''A complete, comprehensive solution to architectural problems, meets all modern requirements to ensure a healthy, functional human environment.''
