On 6 March 2019 CleanTechnica reported: Oslo, Norway is the capital environmental city for Europe in 2019 and is dedicated to becoming a zero emissions city by 2030. So it is fitting that it is adding 70 electric buses to its public transportation fleet this year. Several electric buses have been operating in the city for the past two years. The lessons learned from those vehicles has convinced Ruter, the agency in charge of public transportation for Oslo, to place an order for 70 more. Global Good News service views this news as a sign of rising positivity in the fields of science and government, documenting the growth of life-supporting, evolutionary trends.

Other Norwegian cities making the transition to electric buses include Trondheim, Lillehammer, and Kristiansand.
