On 25 December 2004 GGN-Japan News Service reported: The Japan Peace Government in the Shimane district has inaugurated the plans for the construction of the first World Peace Palace in Japan. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

The ground-breaking ceremony of the first World Peace Palace in Japan was performed on 10 November 2004. The ceremony was conducted according to the principles and guidelines provided by Maharishi Sthapatya Ved International Consultation Service.

Seventeen people, including the architect, Mr Aoyama, gathered for the ceremony. The ceremony began at 11:12 am, an auspicious time (Muhurta) that was calculated by Maharishi Jyotish experts. The weather was delightfully pleasant and clear; it gave the participants of the ceremony the uplifting feeling that a new time of peace has arrived for Japan's future generations.

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
