Positive, in-depth world press coverage of Maharishi's Vedic Science and Technology has exploded in ways never seen in the 50 years of Maharishi's movement ever since Maharishi began holding his global news conferences more than three years ago.

We have a very complete and inspiring report of excellent press coverage for Maharishi's programmes worldwide that has appeared in just the past week.

MAHARISHI VEDIC ARCHITECTURE

News of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, Vedic Architecture, or Vastu Vidya continues to spread throughout the US and around the world. As you may recall, a major article on the deep principles and practices of Vedic Architecture appeared several weeks ago on the front page of the Home section of The Washington Post, entitled: Mind over Mortar: Proponents of Vedic design believe that our homes can determine our health. What does science have to say?

Since the publication of this story on 7 July, the article has appeared in scores of major newspapers around the world.

But more interestingly, news of Maharishi Vedic Architecture has become big news in India. On 18 August, the Deccan Herald, one of India's largest newspapers and the main newspaper for Bangalore, republished the article from The Washington Post on Maharishi Vedic Architecture. The headline reads: Can our homes determine our health & wealth?

But what has really captured the media's attention in India is Maharishi's call for government leaders to abandon all parliament buildings and personal residences that are not properly laid out according to Sthapatya Veda.

The Press Trust of India wrote a story based on an interview with Dr John Hagelin that was distributed throughout India. The headline of the article reads: Dr Hagelin's warning to government leaders: Improper design of government buildings promotes disorderly thinking, infighting—'President should close south entrance to the White House'

Then, the Deccan Herald, which only two days before had run the major feature on Maharishi Vedic Architecture, put another story on its front page entitled: Bush gets some unorthodox advice. The article stated 'A US-based quantum physicist has discovered the secret of world peace. All will be well if the south-facing entrances to the White House and 10 Downing Street are closed. He claims no credit for this discovery but attributes it to India's unpatented traditional knowledge—Vedic Architecture.'

And then this past Sunday, The Hindustan Times put this story on its front page: South is bad vaastu for both Bush, Blair

The Press Trust of India article that started it all reads 'Divisive and destructive government policies will become more coherent and harmonious overnight if government leaders live and work in buildings that are properly designed according to the principles of ancient Vedic Architecture in harmony with natural law as revived by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.'

THE WOODLAND PEACE PALACE

Last month Maharishi launched his Global Reconstruction Programme for World Peace to reconstruct the world according to Vedic Architecture in harmony with Natural Law. A key element in Maharishi's global reconstruction programme is the establishment of 3,000 Peace Palaces—teaching centres of his Vedic Science and Technology to raise the whole population to enlightenment and promote permanent world peace.

This week saw the public inauguration of the magnificent Woodlands Peace Palace in Houston that was built by developer and oil company CEO Howard Settle. The building will also serve as the international headquarters of Mr Settle's very successful Century Exploration Company.

Coverage included this excellent article in the business section of the Houston Chronicle: Building has an ancient touch: Oil firm CEO says that Vedic principles promote clearer thinking.

The inauguration received excellent television coverage as well, including a 2-minute news segment that was broadcast on the ABC affiliate in Houston.

And interestingly, just the inspiring news of the plans to build a Peace Palace received front page coverage as we can see in this article in Norwalk, a Connecticut newspaper, which featured an article entitled: Peace Palace to ease stress.

TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION

Now finally, we will take a look at the very positive press coverage of two of Maharishi's programmes that will be offered through all of the Peace Palaces—Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying.

This major news story on the benefits of Transcendental Meditation in the Orange County Register—one of the largest newspapers in America—was highlighted on the top of the front page of the newspaper and reads: Life lift: Transcending stress.

The article then appeared as a full-page story on the front page of the health section, entitled: Tapping into TM.

The story highlighted the health benefits of Transcendental Meditation, reported on the efforts of local parents and educators to bring Transcendental Meditation into the schools, and featured the meditating family of Bruce and Annamarie Currivan and their daughter Jean Anne. Bruce and Annamarie are members of the Board of Trustees at Maharishi University of Management.

YOGIC FLYING

An excellent four-minute international television news segment on Yogic Flying was broadcast throughout America and around the world by National Geographic Television— one of the most prestigious and serious-minded stations for both adults and young people. National Geographic sent a television camera crew to Maharishi University of Management to take an in-depth look at Maharishi's Yogic Flying programme. The result was something quite informative and very inspiring.

Such positive news reports make clear why Maharishi now says that Heaven on Earth—Sat Yuga—is dawning and that it is just a matter of a short time before everyone on earth will be enjoying his true birthright—perfect health, happiness, and fulfilment in a peaceful, prosperous world.
