RosBusinessConsulting Translate This Article
27 September 2005
On 27 September 2005 RosBusinessConsulting reported: Moldova and Transnistria have agreed to resume negotiations on the Transnistrian conflict settlement. The talks, which are set to resume on 27-28 October in Chisinau and Tiraspol, will also discuss the involvement of the European Union and the US observers. Negotiations on settling the Transnistrian conflict were interrupted a year ago. Global Good News service views this news as a sign of rising positivity in the field of world peace, documenting the growth of life-supporting, evolutionary trends.
The agreement to resume negotiations was reached during consultations to settle the conflict held 26-27 September 2005 in Odessa. Mediators from Russia, Ukraine, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and politicians from Chisinau and Tiraspol participated in the talks.
The United States and European Union will have observer status for the upcoming talks which will cover many topics including the establishment of the monitoring mission on the Transnistrian part of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, and transformation of the current peace-support mission in the Dnestr region.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
Global Good News comment:
Moldova was formerly part of Romania and was incorporated into the former Soviet Union at the end of World War II. Moldova has been independent from Russia since 1991. Transnistria is internationally considered to be part of Moldova, but has declared independence as the Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic or Transnistrian Moldovan Republic (TMR) with Tiraspol as its capital.
