On Saturday, 12 November, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Global Country of World Peace, will address the grand, global celebrations of the 'Day of Awakening of Permanent World Peace', to be held on the Day of Awakening of Total Natural Law in the annual Vedic calendar. Maharishi will speak live via satellite and internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland. The celebration will begin at 19:00 Central Europe Time (1:00 pm US Eastern Standard Time).

During the festivities, His Highness Raja Dr Dean Dodrill, the Raja of Washington, will announce the establishment of the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Washington, DC. Raja Dean said the new Capital will provide government leaders with the knowledge and scientifically validated programmes of Total Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—to create coherent collective consciousness, which is the basis of prevention-oriented, problem-free administration and invincibility for the nation.

'Washington, DC is the capital of the world,' Raja Dean said. 'Now, with the establishment here of the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace, Washington will become a lighthouse of coherence and harmony for the whole world—a capital of peace-creating permanent peace in the family of nations.' The Rajas of Global Country of World Peace from domains across the United States will be present with His Highness Raja Dr Dean Dodrill to celebrate this glorious day.

The celebrations in the United States will be held at The Fairmont Hotel, 2401 M Street, NW, beginning at 12 noon (EST) and will also include a gala luncheon banquet; the traditional Vedic recitation of the Anthem of the Global Country of World Peace by Vedic Pandits; and addresses by Dr John Hagelin, President of the US Peace Government and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace; Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace; and the Rajas of the seven domains of the Global Country of World Peace in the United States.

Maharishi's celebration of the Day of Awakening of Permanent World Peace follows by nearly four months Maharishi's proclamation of the dawn of Heaven on Earth—Sat Yuga—on 21 July 2005, Guru Purnima Day. Maharishi announced that his Global Peace Programme, which includes establishing large numbers of peace-creating Vedic Pandits in India performing Vedic Yagyas and Grahashanti, as well as groups of peace-creating Yogic Flyers in every country, is creating coherent world consciousness—the basis of permanent world peace.

World press reports since Maharishi launched his Global Peace Programme in April 2005 clearly show a dramatic turnaround in world events, including rapidly increasing harmony between former enemy nations and a growing rejection by people throughout the world of destructive government policies.'The time of destruction is over,' Maharishi proclaimed. 'The light of Total Natural Law—the light of peace—is dawning for the whole world family.'
