On 3 February 2006 Pioneer Press reported: Land for Minnesota's first Peace Palace has been purchased and plans are being made to begin construction this June. Directors said they hope to have the facility built and operating by the end of this year, although it could take almost a year to complete all aspects of construction. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

The Peace Palace, located in St Paul, will be home to the programmes of the Global Country of World Peace, including programmes for instruction and group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Technique, a store selling Global Country of World Peace literature and health-care products, and a lecture hall for presentations of knowledge.

The Peace Palace will be 12,000 square feet, have two stories, and if it follows the Peace Palace plans posted on the organization's website, it will have an exterior plated in marble, with decorative columns and arched windows.

Peace Palaces have already been built and are open to the public in Houston, Texas; Fairfield, Iowa; Lexington, Kentucky; and Bethesda, Maryland. Eventually, the goal is to establish a Peace Palace for every 200,000 to 300,000 people in the world. This would mean ten Peace Palaces in the Twin Cities, 2,400 across the US, and 600 in Europe.

The response to plans for the St Paul Peace Palace has been very positive. Hundreds of people have called the local directors with inquiries in response to recent advertisements.

Co-director Michael Hauth was quoted in the article: 'I haven't had a single negative call. People are just curious,' he said. 'Whatever their political affiliation, people do want world peace.'

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
