The full moon in July, Guru Purnima, has been celebrated for countless ages as the day of gratitude to the great eternal Tradition of Vedic Masters who have safeguarded the complete knowledge of life in its purity. His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the world's foremost Vedic scholar and genius in the field of consciousness, has introduced the Transcendental Meditation Programme and the total knowledge of Natural Law to the world for perfection in individual and national life in this generation.

Regarding Guru Purnima, Maharishi has said that Guru Purnima is the day of infinite correlation. It is a day of supreme knowledge; it is a day of Brahman; it is the day of the fullness of pure knowledge. Guru Purnima day is structured in pure knowledge. It comes year after year to bring the awakening of totality of life. It is a very special day, Maharishi said.

Throughout the celebration, many achievements of Maharishi's Worldwide Movement during this past year will be presented from around the world, achievements which are part of Maharishi's Master Plan to bring the age of problems and suffering to Sat Yuga, a time of enlightenment and peace.

New plans of action will also be set in motion to hasten the transformation to heavenly life on earth. Both achievements and future planning will centre around the creation of large groups of experts in the TM-Sidhi for Yogic Flying to create world peace, and the building of 5,000 Peace Palaces, which will serve as lighthouses of peace throughout the world.

The celebration is taking place in the grandeur of the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace set amidst magnificent formal gardens, fountains, and acres of woodland.
