Today is the 21st day of the seventh month of Dutch national consciousness rising to invincibility, as indicated by the following press reports:

1 November 2006

NRC Handelsblad: 'Thrifty Minister Zalm scores high in European comparison' - The British newspaper Financial Times qualified Finance Minister Zalm of Holland as one of the very top European Finance Ministers. The core of Zalm's policy has been to strengthen government finances. Only Finance Minister Cowen of Ireland—whose nation was already doing well—scored higher.

NRC Handelsblad: 'Tips for spiritual living. Magazines bring meaning of life to the general public' - Spirituality is not for a select audience anymore. More and more magazines have ran stories featuring the meaning of life, personal growth, and societal involvement. This autumn alone, three new magazines have come out with a spiritual theme.

NRC Handelsblad: 'Minister Winsemius to invest in poor neighbourhoods' - To prevent poor, inner city neighbourhoods from becoming worse, Minister Winsemius plans to invest between €1 and € 1.4 billion annually to upgrade these neighbourhoods. The programme will especially focus on building many more new homes. This powerful policy will not only improve the quality of life in cities, but will also develop powerful cities, which can provide a powerful economic force in Holland.

De Telegraaf: 'Unemployment allowances continue to decrease' - The number of unemployment allowances has decreased faster than expected. Next year there will be under 200,000 unemployment allowances needed. This is due to the economic 'wind at the back' Holland is experiencing. Disability allowances are also decreasing, with a decrease of 50,000 so far this year.

De Telegraaf: 'Employers hardly see ethnicity anymore when hiring. Education and work experience is most important' - Minister Wijn of Economic Affairs was happily surprised. 'It does not matter whether your background is Dutch, Turkish, or Moroccan. I thought employers had prejudices.' Apparently, that is not the case anymore.

Het Financieele Dagblad: 'Inflation decreases even further under European Central Bank norm' - The European Commission announced today that the price level in October was only 1.6 per cent higher than in 2005. This means that for the second month in a row inflation has been lower than the target of 2 per cent set by the European Central Bank. In September, inflation was at 1.8 per cent.

De Telegraaf: 'Two queens and a king' - Not only is that the title of a novel by RJ Peskens, but it was also the reality at a reception given yesterday by Queen Beatrix for King Abdallah and his Queen Rania from Jordan. Our Queen praised Abdallah extensively for his emphasis on tolerance, saying it is a very important basis for achieving lasting peace, especially in the Middle East.

NRC Handelsblad: 'Elena Simons has started the 'Happy Company'—whose only goal is making people happy. For example, the company employs people to wave goodbye to lonely travellers at the train station.' The Happy Company offers an infrastructure for people who, completely unselfishly, want to make other people happy. Last weekend at several locations throughout Holland 'Happy Brigades' were actively waving goodbye to travellers, helping people leave their worries behind, and handing out free pancakes, etc. If the idea works, Ms Simons wants the company to go international.

Creating national invincibility

Groups of experts in Yogic Flying are engaged in creating coherent national consciousness in the Netherlands, United States, Canada, Hamsa (Hungary), and an increasing number of other nations, which are enjoying a dramatic and sustained upsurge in positive economic and social trends.

Dr Paul Gelderloos, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace for the Netherlands, reports that 400 Yogic Flyers have been assembled at MERU, the Netherlands, since 12 April 2006.

Extensive research published in the world's leading scientific journals has found that the group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme Yogic Flying by the square root of one per cent of a population is sufficient to reduce negative trends, including crime and violence, and to promote positive economic and social tendencies throughout society.

The cost to train and employ such a group is a small fraction of what any government spends on its military in a single day.

Maharishi's approach to invincibility is in sharp contrast to the conventional military approach. 'Our approach does not require the government to sacrifice the youth for the sake of the nation—because when the youth are killed in war, then for whom is the nation?' Maharishi said.

The harmony and progress of the human race are founded on the internal harmony and progress of every individual. No stress, no strain, no impediment, no difficulty can withstand the totally benign influence of the enlivenment of the Unified Field of Natural Law, the field of Transcendental Consciousness, the field of pure knowledge, through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme.
