9 March was the 9th day of the ninth month of Canadian national consciousness rising to invincibility, as indicated by the following press reports:

9 March 2007

Bloomberg News - Canadian stocks rise a 3rd day on optimism for growth, profits (8 March 2007) The TSX Composite Index rose 61.36, or 0.5 per cent, to 13,050.97 on 8 March, extending a rebound to a third day.

The Globe and Mail - Economy off to a flying start (9 March 2007) A pair of reports offered more proof that Canada's economy is flourishing. A greater-than-expected 14,200 people were added to payrolls in February and exports hit a record in January, sending the trade surplus to a 13-month high. Ted Carmichael, chief economist at J.P. Morgan Securities Canada, now pegs first-quarter growth at 4 per cent. Job gains have registered the hottest start to the year in a quarter century, with more than 103,000 jobs created in the first two months of 2007. Employment has been on an upward trajectory since August, with the economy creating an average of 42,000 jobs each month since then.

From a Statistics Canada report on this: Both British Columbia and New Brunswick hit new record-low unemployment rates in February. Employment rose by 2,500 in New Brunswick, bringing gains since last September, when the current upward trend began in the province, to 10,000. The unemployment rate in the province dropped 1.2 percentage points in February to 6.9 per cent, setting a 31-year low.

Bloomberg News - Canada added jobs in February; unemployment rate fell (9 March 2007) Employers added more jobs than forecast for the sixth-straight month in February, and the jobless rate unexpectedly fell to 6.1 per cent, matching a three-decade low touched three times since May. Today's jobs data reinforces the notion economic growth is rebounding this quarter. 'It supports the idea that the economy is operating at a good pace and it leaves the bank's projection intact,' Carolyn Kwan, an economist with Scotia Capital, said.

Canada's trade surplus unexpectedly widened in January to the largest since December 2005, as exports rose for the third straight month to a record. The labor and trade data prompted some economists to predict the economy will grow faster than expected by the central bank. Mark Chandler, a fixed-income strategist at RBC Capital Markets in Toronto, predicts the economy will grow 2.7 per cent this quarter. 'There are a lot of positive signs in the numbers.'

Bloomberg News - Canadian dollar rises as employers add more jobs than expected (9 March 2007) 'This number is providing very good support to the Canadian dollar,' said Matthew Strauss, senior currency strategist in Toronto at RBC Capital Markets. Canada's dollar advanced the most since 21 February, to 85.30 US cents.

Reuters Canada - Canada jobs, trade data point to growth rebound (9 March 2007) Canada's economy started off 2007 on a solid footing. 'It generally falls in line with what we think is happening in the economy, that the economy is growing at a solid pace and that we will see some faster growth in the first quarter,' said Dawn Desjardins, senior economist at Royal Bank of Canada. Wage growth rose to 2.7 per cent year-over-year in February, but not enough to cause inflationary pressure, analysts said.

The National Post - Blackberry billionaires (9 March 2007) Twenty-three Canadians worth a combined US$84.4 billion made Forbes magazine's annual billionaire list this year. David Thomson and family ended up in the 10th spot with US$22 billion. Also included were Research in Motion Ltd.'s co-chief executives and Cirque du Soleil's Guy Laliberte with US$1.5 billion. The 946 members, an increase of 22 per cent, have a total net worth of US$3.5 trillion, up 35 per cent, or US$900 billion, from US$2.6 trillion in 2006.

Canadian Press - Prime Minister announces $156M in climate change dollars for Alberta (8 March 2007) Prime Minister Harper came to Alberta to announce almost $156 million for projects to bleed away greenhouse gases and other pollutants. It was one of a number of announcements by both levels of government meant to signal the dawn of a new green day. Harper also announced a joint federal-Alberta panel to recommend the best way to implement carbon capture technology. The $156 million will be used for projects that could include the carbon capture or other trial projects such as converting municipal waste in Edmonton into electricity. The funding came from the new Canada EcoTrust for Clean Air and Climate Change.

Earlier, the government tabled a bill to force large-scale carbon emitters to cut carbon emission intensities by 12 per cent by the end of the year or face financial penalties that will go into a special fund that will look for ways to reduce climate change. The proposed legislation will direct companies that emit more than 100,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases a year to begin cutting emissions by 1 July.

From a Calgary Herald report on this: The Prime Minister served notice his government's soon-to-be-released emissions requirements will trump anything introduced by the provinces. 'We're going to bring in a national program that will apply across the country,' Harper said. 'We'll treat all regions and sectors equitably and those will be the minimum standards we will expect in every province in Canada.'

These are a few of the news reports reflecting Canada's rising invincibility from the growing Yogic Flying groups across Canada and the Invincible America Assembly at Maharishi University of Management and Maharishi Vedic City, USA.
