12 March was the 12th day of the ninth month of Canadian national consciousness rising to invincibility, as indicated by the following press reports:

12 March 2007

Bloomberg News - Canada fourth-quarter labour productivity unexpectedly rises 0.3 per cent (12 March 2007) Canadian labour productivity, a measure of how much an employee produces for every hour of work, rose unexpectedly in the fourth quarter for the first gain since early 2006, as workers increased their output during a period when unemployment fell to a three-decade low, Statistics Canada said today.

From The Globe and Mail on this - Labour productivity rebounds in fourth quarter (12 March 2007) Statistics Canada said that productivity edged 0.3 per cent higher between October and December, 2006. The fourth-quarter expansion arrives after two quarters of declining growth and countered expectations for a 0.3 per cent drop. The Bank of Canada uses productivity data to gauge how fast the economy can grow without sparking inflation and is also linked to the country's standard of living.

The Globe and Mail - Ottawa pitching trade deal to India (12 March 2007) Ted Menzies, parliamentary secretary to International Trade Minister, David Emerson, will call for Canada and India to pursue a free-trade agreement in a speech in New Delhi today. Mr Menzies is leading a Canadian government trade mission to India this week on behalf of Mr Emerson, who fell ill before the trip.

'The world is knocking on India's door,' Mr Menzies says in the speech. 'They have plenty of choices and it is up to Canada, and Canadians, to step up, to become preferred partners.'

The government's embrace of India comes as the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and Canadian Chamber of Commerce urge Ottawa to cement stronger economic ties. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is calling on Ottawa to set up a government-business advisory group to study the potential for economic and business co-operation with India, which it says could lay the groundwork for a Canada-India free-trade agreement.

Bloomberg News - Canadian dollar rises as traders trim rate bets on strong data (12 March 2007) Canada's dollar rose again on 11 March against its US counterpart on recent strong employment and trade data showing that the economy is rebounding. 'The Canadian dollar should get more support from the employment numbers,' said Shaun Osborne, chief currency strategist at TD Securities in Toronto. Canadian labour productivity rose unexpectedly in the fourth quarter for the first gain since first quarter 2006.

The Globe and Mail - Edmonton's property market roars ahead (12 March 2007) Office rents are skyrocketing, and prime office space in downtown towers is being gobbled up by companies in expansion mode. 'This is unpredicted,' said Richard Corriveau, an economist for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. who follows the Alberta market. 'We are seeing a level of growth that was essentially unfathomable just 18 months ago.' The average house price in the city has increased 52 per cent from the same time last year.

The Calgary Herald - Lab probes science of happiness (9 March 2007) These days, happiness isn't just a state of mind, it's a modern science, and a new happiness laboratory has been established in Ottawa. 'If we could make people a lot happier . . . we'd be likely to increase their pro-social behaviour. Perhaps people would be more likely to give to charity and to help one another,' said John Zelenski, director of the Carleton University Happiness Laboratory.

Canadian Press - Feds, northerners sign deal to protect first of proposed conservation areas (11 March 2007) The federal government has signed an agreement to protect 5,800 square kilometres in the Northwest Territories that has historical links to the Dene community of Deline and is home to many wildlife. It will be jointly managed by Parks Canada and the Deline First Nation.

It is one of a series of places identified under a plan to conserve important parts of the northern ecosystem before industrialization of the Arctic impacts them. Larry Innes of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Association said several other sites are in line for final protection under the strategy that totals more than 100,000 square kilometres, an area larger than New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island combined.

These are a few of the news reports reflecting Canada's rising invincibility from the growing Yogic Flying groups across Canada and the Invincible America Assembly at Maharishi University of Management and Maharishi Vedic City, USA.
