Lebanon's parental role in the Middle East

Lebanon is poised midway between the Brahmasthan (centre point) of India and MERU, Holland—the seats of two great world centres of the Global Country of World Peace. As a pivotal point in the Middle East, Lebanon is set to take on a parental role for all 22 Arabic-speaking countries, with a total population of 350 million.

An hour-long interview was recently broadcast on the Arabic-language Al Alam News Network satellite television, which is based in Iran and fully supported by the Iranian government. This interview covered all aspects of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme, including the Maharishi Effect; and offered an invitation to every individual and every government to create Invincibility in their nation and to apply Maharishi's six-point programme to create a healthy, happy, prosperous society, and a peaceful world.

Given that of all Arab countries, so far only a few, notably Lebanon, Algeria, and Egypt, have the knowledge of Maharishi's programmes, this interview was of tremendous importance.

For this reason, the leaders of the Global Country of World Peace in Lebanon feel the responsibility to spread this knowledge in all Arab nations. Lebanon itself is a small country, but it is sending teachers of Transcendental Meditation to other Arab countries which have greater potential, resources, and capabilities to establish their own local organizations.

With the large Arabic-speaking population in the Middle East, it is essential to make Maharishi's knowledge and programmes available in that language. To this end, Lebanon has undertaken the large-scale project to translate all this knowledge into Arabic and make it available to all Arab countries.

Works already completed are Maharishi's books—Science of Being and Art of Living; Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on the Bhagavad-Gita: A New Translation and Commentary, Chapters 1-6; and Love and God—as well as publications on Maharishi Ayurveda.
