29 March 2007
On 29 March 2007 Citizen.co.za reported:
A Cape Town, South Africa couple raised the flag of the Global Country of World Peace at the gates of Parliament as part of a global initiative to create a positive influence on governments worldwide.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
The Citizen.co.za news website reported that Mr Nigel Kahn and his wife Dorianne, of Cape Town, South Africa, raised the flag of the Global Country of World Peace at the gates of Parliament and declared, 'We're bringing the support of Natural Law, this unseen quality, which actually is governing the universe . . . a unified field of all the Laws of Nature, one underlying field of intelligence and energy,'
The flag-raising ceremony was part of a global initiative to create a positive influence on governments worldwide. Mr. Kahn explained that each country in the world needs only one group representing the square root of one percent of its population to practise Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques, including Yogic Flying together in a group, to become invincible against problems like crime, health issues and poverty.
According to Mr Kahn, South African requires only 700 Yogic Flyers to create invincibility; it would be sufficient to create enough positive energy to eliminate crime in South Africa.
Mr Kahn cited the United States as a recent example. A group of about 2000 Yogic Flyers have gathered there since July, and have had a 'huge effect' on US foreign policy, which is now much more conciliatory towards such nations such as North Korea, Syria, and Iran than before.
The reduction in stress through the collective practice of Transcendental Meditation, he added, could also lead to a rise in economic creativity for South Africa.
