5 April was the 5th day of the tenth month of Canadian national consciousness rising to invincibility, as indicated by the following press reports:

5 April 2007

Bloomberg News - Canadian stocks post weekly gain on commodities outlook, M&A (5 April 2007) Canadian stocks rallied this week with the TSX climbing 2 per cent. 'For the Canadian market overall it looks pretty good,' said Marc Lalonde, who oversees C$1.1 billion at Louisbourg Investments Inc. in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Bloomberg News - Canadian dollar rises to highest since December on jobs surge (5 April 2007) The Canadian dollar was the top performing currency against the US dollar among the 16 most-actively traded currencies. The currency extended its gains after a separate report showed Canadian business and government increased spending in March more than economists forecast. The Ivey purchasing managers' index rose to 67.3 from 60.5 in February, its highest since May. Figures greater than 50 indicate purchasing increased.

Statistics Canada - Labour force survey (5 April 2007) Employment jumped by an estimated 55,000 in March, continuing the upward trend that began in September 2006. In the first quarter of 2007, employment grew by an estimated 158,000, the strongest first quarter growth since 2002. Provincial growth rates for the first quarter were particularly strong in British Columbia, Alberta, and New Brunswick. The employment rate in March reached its highest level in 31 years. March's employment increase is largely attributable to strength in Quebec and British Columbia. These two provinces, along with Manitoba, boosted their employment rates to record levels. For a third straight month, British Columbia's unemployment rate reached a record low. The manufacturing sector continued to show strength in British Columbia, up 11,000 in March and 25,000 since August 2006. Quebec's employment rose by an estimated 29,000 in March, the largest monthly gain since May 2006. The unemployment rate in Quebec edged down near its 31-year low. During the first three months of 2007, the average hourly wage in Canada rose an estimated 2.4% compared to the same period last year.

Reuters Canada - Another stellar month of jobs growth (5 April 2007) Canada's economy added a stunning 54,900 jobs in March, whizzing past forecasts. 'Another blowout month for Canadian employment,' said Sal Guatieri, senior economist at BMO Capital Markets in Toronto. The hard-hit manufacturing sector also saw added employment. The services sector has been adding jobs since August 2006.

From a CBC News report on this: 'Canadian payrolls simply won't quit, providing a solid base for personal income and consumer spending,' said BMO Nesbitt Burns economist Doug Porter.

From a Bloomberg News report on this: Employers have added workers for seven straight months, the longest span since 2002-2003. Canadian job growth has outstripped economists' predictions by an average of 32,000 over the last seven months. Previous job gains already led families with new paychecks to drive home prices to record highs. The job growth has stoked record homebuilding and consumer spending.

From a Globe and Mail report on this: The three-month trend shows growth at above 50,000 for the last three straight months, suggesting domestic demand will continue to drive economic growth.

The National Post - Busiest March on record for WestJet, Air Canada (5 April 2007) The country's two largest airlines experienced their busiest March on record as the Canadian airline industry continues to soar to new heights, fuelled by a strong economy and even stronger consumer demand.

The Toronto Star reports (4 April 2007) Sales and leases of cars and light trucks improved 1.2 per cent in the first three months from the same 2006 period. In March, auto business dipped marginally, but March marked the seventh month in the last eight that sales have improved from the same period in the previous year.

Canadian Press - Top court won't halt BC tobacco suit (5 April 2007) The Supreme Court of Canada has rejected an appeal from seven foreign tobacco companies to stop a lawsuit launched by the British Columbia government to recover billions of dollars in health care costs from them. The ruling means the BC government can now try to proceed with its lawsuit.

The Toronto Star - Province supports local farmers (5 April 2007) Foodland Ontario is a government programme that helps consumers identity local produce in the supermarket. The government is giving the Foodland Ontario program a C$10-million boost. The program also happens to dovetail with consumers' growing concern about the environmental impact of shipping food over thousands of kilometres. Environmentalists have cited carbon emissions caused by food transport as a contributor to global warming.

These are a few of the news reports reflecting Canada's rising invincibility from the growing Yogic Flying groups across Canada and the Invincible America Assembly at Maharishi University of Management and Maharishi Vedic City, USA.
