Maharishi's address to the David Lynch Weekend - Part I

After Dr John Hagelin's riveting address to the David Lynch Weekend held at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA Maharishi Mahesh Yogi blessed the assembly of hundreds of visitors composed of students and others who had travelled from all across the US to participate in the conference.

Maharishi described the current activities of his worldwide organization to the group assembled at the David Lynch Weekend, saying 'What I'm doing is I'm engaging some people in every country according to population and creating an effect ... national consciousness is rising in coherence. In positivity. In affluence. In peace.'

From his address it was clear Maharishi's focus is on creating the effect of maximum good for every citizen of the world. 'So I don't want to speak these days because time of speaking is over—I've been speaking for 50 years and people have responded—those who could understand—that it is possible for a man to do what he wants. And what a man wants—he wants more and more and more and more and more and more of everything.

'More knowledge, more power, more action, big action—so in that spirit now what I'm wanting is no one should be unhappy, no one should be suffering, no one should be unhealthy, and no one should be negative—and not no one singly, but no nation could suffer.

'No nation could be in lack of anything, every nation as a whole should enjoy perfect health and all the positive things, all the good things, enjoy everything.

Maharishi repeated that he is creating the effect in world consciousness by quietly engaging a few hundred peace creating experts trained in the Transcendental Meditation technique and its advanced practice, the TM-Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying according to the total number of people in the national population per country.

His parental role in creating invincibility for every nation was evident to all as he said, 'My experience is that anyone who has the light he only can show the light to others on the way. Anyone who has the light has to show the light.'

Maharishi noted that in a government, persons of good will strive to provide for their constituents, setting up infrastructure, education, law enforcement, and healthcare systems. However, despite their efforts and the promises they make when elected, the overall situation goes from bad to worse during their term, and the ultimate goal of administration is not fulfilled.

The technique of Transcendental Meditation which Maharishi has been teaching for 50 years has proven extremely successful for all of the 6 million individuals that have taken up the practice. Now Maharishi is creating a world in which no one will suffer.

'Now I want to be absolutely doing something which is going to be a miracle of all ages. Miracle of all ages. A nation really enjoying freedom and freedom can be enjoyed by a nation.'
