Three new Peace Palaces to be built in North Carolina, USA

Three new Peace Palaces will be rising in the coming months in North Carolina, USA—one in Asheville, one in Charlotte, and one in Durham.
Each Peace Palace will be 10,000 square feet, with the rooms designed in very flexible format, so that all can serve as private offices, spa treatment rooms, residential rooms, or teaching and consultation rooms.
The Peace Palaces will also feature a Maharishi Ayur-Veda restaurant near the Brahmansthan—centre—of the building.
Raja Barrett, who is overseeing the project, was surprised to find that the local developer was very familiar with the term Vastu. The term Vastu has now, the developer said, become an integral part of the standard curriculum for university programmes related to community development and architecture.
Raja Barret credits Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's revival of the ancient science of Sthapatya Veda as the basis of recent interest in 'spiritually harmonious buildings' .
'In Architecture and Design', he said, 'the most conscientious professionals believe that there must be some methodology, some science for developing the most constructed environment. The best of architects never give up on the question of how to create the greatest personal and physical comfort, compatible both with aesthetics and spiritual harmony. So they pick up on seed words like Vastu. Even without knowing what it really means they are attracted to it.
'Truth always asserts itself,' said Raja Barret. '. . . the seed of Maharishi's Vastuvidya will eventually come to be the common standard for building—by the alluring self-attractive nature of the truth.'
