Dr Paul Potter, Raja (Administrator) of New York for the Global Country of World Peace, recently reported they are now completing the fourth round of conferences on Vedic Architecture at the Global Financial Capital of New York. He invited three others to report on reconstruction of the building, and the whole state, according to principles of this ancient Vedic science of architecture in accord with Natural Law.

Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction of the Global Country of World Peace, presented some history of New York architecture, with plans for rebuilding the city. In 1626, he reported, a native trail ran accurately from north to south; and early streets and buildings were situated according to the cardinal directions. In 1811, however, an inauspicious grid of streets was superimposed on the correctly-aligned ones. Although it seems an impossible, monumental task to rebuild the whole city—and the world—Dr Potter reminded listeners that
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has said that builders will be building anyway. If they build fortune-creating buildings, the world will automatically be transformed over time.

Architect Dr John Adams reported that 70 Broad Street in Manhattan, the reconstructed home of the Global Financial Capital of New York, has 2 foot (.6 metre) thick granite walls, and a serene first-floor lobby that will house displays of Total Knowledge, with a Brahmasthan (central area) that establishes pure silence in the building. A white marble staircase leads down to a large basement exhibit and a state-of-the-art video conference room. The same staircase leads up to the second floor's Grand Hall for large meetings, conferences, and banquets. The top three floors are residential.

Finally, Dr Tom Brooks, Reconstruction Director for the building, shared historic and current information about it. Built according to the cardinal directions in 1908 for the American Bank Note Company, the east-facing, 15,000 square-foot (.14 hectare) structure is being renewed in time for its 100th birthday next year. It is being cleaned, with windows replaced and banners hung, as scaffolding around it protects passers-by. Dr Brooks says they are very close to completing a proper and complete home for the Global Financial Capital.

In closing, Dr Potter read excerpts from a very positive New York Times article entitled, 'Maharishi Comes to Wall Street'. He also announced the acquisition of an 800-acre (324-hectare) farm in Goshen, NY, that will provide organic food for the state, and also provide the site for a Maharishi Vedic University to train students in Vedic Agriculture.
