In the second session of the Global Celebration of Guru Purnima, Dr Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace, spoke about the ideal of rulership in the Vedic Tradition and performing Puja to Guru Dev around the world at midday in each country.

Dr Feldman began by saying that as the blessing of Guru Dev* we have the silent administration of Maharaja Nader Raam. All his Rajas and Ministers are taking world consciousness to that high level of invincibility, which will belong to the governments of all the 192 countries of our world.

'Yatha raja tatha praja, 'As is the ruler, so is the ruled,' said Dr Feldman, echoing the words of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, earlier in the celebration. 'This is the ideal of the Raja in the Vedic tradition of rulership. An administration maintains itself in whatever way, with whatever performance and level of reality, and that is the reality of its subjects.'

Dr Feldman explained that in the Vedic tradition of rulers—known as the Solar Dynasty—it is this life-giving source that the Raja maintains in himself on the level of integrated, self-referral consciousness, the state of eternal Being, characterized by bliss. That radiates from the Raja to the whole population, so that the population may not be other than having the experience of life in bliss.

'That is the example being set by Maharaja Nader Raam today,' said Dr Feldman. 'Silence, steady silence, and that radiates total Natural Law, which is reflected in the life of all the people. This example is going to be the living reality in our world of 192 countries.'

Maharishi has given us the light of life, Dr Feldman said, and the secret of administration: 'As is the consciousness of the ruler, so is the consciousness of the ruled.'

'We have received from Guru Dev the technique of transcending: close the eyes and you are That. Close the eyes, and take the mind to the source of [its] fluctuating nature, to the field of intelligence, where intelligence finds silence and dynamism in union—and all possibilities on the level of self-referral silence.

'That is the administrative skill that Maharaja Nader Raam is practising; and the result of his silent administration is that the skill that we have this day, on Guru Purnima this year, is to offer to Guru Dev the practicality of this administrative system from silence. And the world is going to be on the level of invincibility, emanating from the invincible silence of Maharaja Raam.'

Dr Feldman said that Guru Dev has given us the gift of Maharaja Raam in order that the world of infinite differences enjoys the lively waves of silent dynamism, which are blissful. The technique of life on earth is in terms of life being lived in bliss. The technique Guru Dev gave us is being fruitfully practised by our present ruler of the world, and by his Rajas and Ministers, who today are all feeling so fulfilled that the system of administration through silence is becoming a reality of administration from today.

'... 192 countries in the light of Guru Dev is the gift of Guru Dev to the world. There is sovereignty ... in the light of invincibility, where there is no conflict, no suffering, nothing negative of any kind. It is like the dawn eliminating the darkness of the night: the first ray is good enough to dispel the darkness that lasted throughout the night. Today, we have the right to ring the Bell of Invincibility for every nation, and today, from early morning in the land of the Veda, India, the Vedic Pandits have started to welcome the rising sun.

'... At 3:00 p.m. in Europe, it was the midday in New Zealand, and it was early morning in India. The Vedic Pandits have started to do Puja [Vedic performance of gratitude] to Guru Dev, and this start coincided with the first time zone of the world, where Puja to Guru Dev was performed in New Zealand, invoking the grace of Guru Dev.

'Maharishi said that it was his fortune and delight to witness and participate in this Puja, going on [around the world], as midday in all countries moved from country to country. Today Guru Puja [gratitude to the spiritual teacher] is continuing from east to west, and the light and delight have been so great, their blossoming is impelling us to continue this Puja around the clock, day after day, every day. Every day is the administration of a world-wide fortune to continue to bask in the sunshine of invincibility,' Dr Feldman said.
