In a remote highland town of Bolivia, where traditional indigenous culture is maintained more than in any other place in Latin America, and which is often compared with Tibet, one third of the town's population is practising Transcendental Meditation, and 300 people (over ten per cent of the town's population) are gathering together twice daily to practise the advanced TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying.

With a population of around ten million, Bolivia has a requirement of 300 Yogic Flyers to create national invincibility. This goal was exceeded for Bolivia on the day of the global celebration of Guru Purnima, 29 July 2007, through the establishment of groups of Yogic Flyers, made possible by implementation of the practice of Yogic Flying in three schools in Bolivia.

The largest school, in which 300 Yogic Flyers were instructed, is located in Santiago de Machaca, a small town on the border between Bolivia, Peru, and Chile. The town lies at about 4,000 metres altitude, in the plateau of the highlands of the Andes.

Santiago de Machaca has around 2,500 residents, of which 400 practise Transcendental Meditation. Nearly 300, over 10 per cent of the town's population, are also Sidhas—experts in Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying. The Yogic Flyers all gather together at the Colegio Nacional Mixto Litoral for their twice daily sessions.

In nearby towns, two other schools have identical programmes, making the total number of Yogic Flyers among all three schools 500. Another neighbouring community will soon adopt the programme, making four communities in the Santiago de Machaca area that will be participating.

The recent achievement of creating national invincibility in Bolivia took place under the guidance of Dr Jose Luis Alvarez, the globally revered Raja (Administrator) of Latin America of the Global Country of World Peace.

Dr Alvarez said of these recent developments, 'It is very inspiring for me to see how the population of these communities are really metabolizing and putting very deep in their hearts the Vedic knowledge that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (Founder of the Global Country of World Peace) is giving them. And all the very enthusiastic and generous work of all the members of the Global Country of World Peace, under the leadership of Dr Fernando Zubieta, the Founder of Invincibility of Bolivia, is making this community feel like a community of invincibility in the highlands of Bolivia.'

Dr Alvarez is actively engaged in inspiring all of the nations of Latin America to achieve invincibility and be an example to all other nations in the world. He oversees dozens of successful invincibility projects in schools and institutions across Latin America.
