Speaking at the Global Memorial honouring the extraordinary life and unprecedented global achievements of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi held on 7 February 2008 in MERU, Holland, Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction for the Global Country of World Peace, quoted Maharishi as saying,

''When a nation utilizes Vedic Architecture and city planning in accord with Natural Law to structure buildings and cities that maximize happiness, health, and fortune—the government will be delighted to see that a peaceful problem-free character is rising in the whole country. The government will find that not only has the quality of building and city design been transformed, but the whole character of national life is rising in peace and harmony with Natural Law, and other problems are not appearing any more in national life. This will mean the government has achieved a new level of efficiency in administration, and fulfilled the ideal for every government—a prevention-oriented and problem-free administration, the dawn of a golden time for all times to come.''

Continuing his talk—featured in Part I, Part II, and Part III of this article—Dr Hartmann said that 'for the 6 billion people of the world, about 1 billion [Maharishi Sthapatya Veda] homes have to be created. The reconstruction and re-planning of the whole world is a huge undertaking, and a fabulous inspiration given by Maharishi-ji to stabilize the waves of coherence and order generated through the group practice of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques for permanent peace and invincibility.

Dr Hartmann said that 'According to the ancient Vedic text [pertaining to Sthapatya Veda] . . . the ideal capital city . . . of the country should be placed exactly in the centre of the country—as it says ''auspiciously positioned by the side of an eastern or northern river or lake''. This is because the centre point of a country has a very special and precious quality of balance and unifying wholeness. In the Vedic language, the central place is called the Brahmasthan, and from here, the wholeness of life could be administered according to the Constitution of the Universe, the Will of God, that silently administers the entire ever-expanding galactic universe in perfect order and harmony.

'For that reason the Global Capital of Invincibility and World Peace has been established exactly in the centre of India—the land of the Veda—the land of Knowledge. This shining capital of pure white marble-plated buildings, palaces, and temples are perfectly aligned to Natural Law.' Dr Hartmann said. The capital is 'currently under construction and is the home of about 16,000 Vedic Pandits who will enliven the coherence of Total Natural Law through their daily practices and performances of Vedic recitations [and] Yagyas . . . for every country—so that in a very short time, from this one place on earth, the whole mankind will be blessed with the effect of higher intelligence which will not allow any type of lower intelligence to overshadow the world with negative trends, crime, and war.

'The central square of this Global Capital—the Brahmasthan itself of the Capital—measuring about one half kilometre by one half kilometre, is designed as a Vedic garden with 1,000 pavilions for Vedic recitation.

'There are 200 pavilions or Mandaps for each one of the five Vedas. . . . And with a row of an additional 12 temples . . . in the east, representing the 12 Jyotir Lingas of India, these 1,000 Mandaps represent the totality of all aspects of the Constitution of the Universe—which is enlivened by the recitations of the expert Vedic Pandits.' Through their Vedic performances, Dr Hartmann continued, the Vedic Pandits are 'generating a powerful and peaceful influence of coherence, harmony, and order that is spreading from here to 48 other capitals [which are] under construction, located in every district of India, called Brahmananda Saraswati Nagars of 750 Pandits each.' These, Dr Hartmann said, 'are based on the 12 centres of silence, the 12 Jyotir Lingas, and are again linked to 4 countries of the globe so that in total 192 countries are connected to this powerhouse of Vedic Administration, spreading the unseen influence of invincibility to every nation. . . .

'This is just an overview', Dr Hartmann said, 'of all the buildings that are currently planned, and where construction has started. To sustain and amplify the peaceful effect generated in the central capital here, there will be in each country an Invincibility School which maintains a permanent coherence-creating group of students, its size depending on the population of that country.

'So a school that can produce invincibility as a by-product of ordinary education, is another extraordinary miracle which Maharishi-ji has created.

Dr Hartmann said that 'the Rajas—the administrators of all of these 192 countries—have decided and pledged to build as part of the school, a Tower of Invincibility, which will be dedicated as a shining memorial . . . [a] public memorial to Maharishi's life-long achievements—and hence will be called 'Maharishi Tower of Invincibility'—a 12 storey marble tower of invincibility set in beautiful Vedic gardens, with pavilions, flowers, and singing fountains. And each storey [of the Tower] corresponds to one area of Knowledge—health, education, economy, agriculture, architecture etc. with exhibition panels and electronic displays on every floor of the Tower.

Dr Hartmann noted that Maharishi said that anyone going up this tower from floor to floor and resonating in Total Knowledge, will never come down again.

'These buildings,' Dr Hartmann said, 'are great examples of Vedic Architecture , and will provide a taste of Vastu to every visitor.

'To accomplish the simultaneous construction of so many buildings [the Towers of Invincibility] in different places, our team of architects and engineers have developed an ingenious master-builder system of construction which combines the refinement of marble stone masonry with modern methods of pre-cast and prefabricated wall elements, fillers, arches, railings, and all beautiful palatial details that one can ever dream of—creating the most cherished living qualities. Wherever one is one would feel ''I'm living in heaven.'''

'Using this technology, it would take only 3-4 days for one floor of the Tower to be completed so that only in one and a half months the work is done.' Then the same casting moulds can be used again in another place, for another Tower, Dr Hartmann said.

'So at present more than one billion dollars worth of construction has been accomplished, and the amount is increasing rapidly. Peace Palaces and Centres of Invincibility are rising in all the major cities—and schools and colleges and universities are being materialized.' Dr Hartmann noted as an example 'the Maharishi Central University of America which is located in the centre of the USA—the Brahmasthan of America. Interestingly enough', Dr Hartmann said, '[it is] positioned directly opposite on the globe from the Brahmasthan of India, thus complementing the eastern Capital of Invincibility and Vedic Science with a western Capital of Modern Science. . . .

'The Central University of America was founded by Dr John Hagelin, the Raja of Invincible America, to train a new generation of leadership through a revolutionary state of the art curriculum known to produce vastly superior educational results. This university will soon become a global network of elite universities similarly built in the Brahmasthan of every other country. . . .

Dr Hartmann continued, saying 'In the vicinity of every city, Peace Colonies are being built with beautiful marble mansions around a central park, and auspicious lakes, with recreation and health facilities like an Ayur-Vedic Spa, fortune-creating hotels, and Vastu office buildings. . . .'

The ideal heavenly life is at everyone's fingertips, Dr Hartmann said. 'One only has to make the wish, and start calling the fortune-creating master builder and order a turnkey building when heaven is descending into daily life.

'We have not yet started massive public awareness campaigns to announce the need for construction and transformation of every city based on the auspicious and inauspicious effects of orientation of buildings, replacing all the inauspicious misfortune-creating buildings with auspicious fortune-creating buildings.

'On the other hand, knowledge and the taste of it is spreading fast, and many people have requested and received consultations and architectural plans to build private fortune-creating homes, resulting in the construction of quite a large number of homes in different countries.

'And finally, with this picture', Dr Hartmann said, 'the picture of this building . . . in MERU, from which [Maharishi] said that the walls would not be enclosing . . . providing the quality of unboundedness maintained at all times, and maintaining the lively connection with the universe, here comes a beautiful quote to close.

'Maharishi-ji says ''When a nation utilizes Vedic Architecture and city planning in accord with Natural Law to structure buildings and cities that maximize happiness, health, and fortune—the government will be delighted to see that a peaceful problem-free character is rising in the whole country. The government will find that not only has the quality of building and city design been transformed, but the whole character of national life is rising in peace and harmony with Natural Law, and other problems are not appearing any more in national life. Dr Hartmann concluded by saying, 'It is not possible to estimate Maharishi-ji's lifelong efforts and celebrated contribution to life on earth, to eliminate human suffering, bringing the most exhaled values of permanent peace, happiness, and fortune to every man and to every home on earth—and we can only take his inspiration and his compassion and his teaching and energy inside to accomplish the goals in our lifetime.
