On a recent Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Paul Gelderloos, National Director of the Netherlands for the Global Country of World Peace, recently spoke about the indications of rising positivity in the national press of the Netherlands, resulting from rising coherence in national consciousness from groups of Yogic Flyers who are creating invincibility for the nation.

Dr Gelderloo read from one newspaper reporting on growing emphasis on spirituality and spiritual activities in the workplace, and that its is now 'even considered to be necessary for achievement . . . . Spirituality is hot. . . . a silent revolution is going on in company life.'

Dr Gelderloos also reported about a television interview on Maharishi Sthapatya Veda that was filmed at Maharishi's International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace at MERU in Vlodrop, Holland. This programme was broadcast on national television by the Hindustan broadcast station.

In this programme Raja Willem Meijles, Raja of the Netherlands for the Global Country of World Peace, gave a description of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda and its benefits. Raja Willem gave a tour of his house, explaining features such as the Brahma-Sthan [the silent central area of order for the building] and the importance of the easterly direction and correct placement of rooms for their use in relation to the energy of the Sun.

Raja Willem explained, 'It is important that nothing is placed in [the Brahma Sthan]. [It is important that] it is empty, and everything else will be functioning around it. Actually a house ought to be such that you do not feel any walls, any boundaries,' said Raja Meijles. 'It should be a kind of secondary skin of yours. . . .

'Even if people would not practise Transcendental Meditation, and would say, ''Meditation is not a thing for me''—if they would come and live in such a house I am convinced that they will feel the positive effects,' Raja Willem said.

The Director of Fortunate Living Company, which builds Maharishi Sthapatya Veda homes, was also featured in the programme. Dr Christian Schweitzer, one of the architects for the Global Country of World Peace in MERU, Netherlands, explained that these are the ancient Vedic designs according to Vedic principles for peace, good health, and happiness. 'That is why the company in Holland is called ''Fortunate Living''. This is the company that builds fortune-creating Vastu homes in Europe,' Dr Schweitzer said.

The programme also included the tape of an address by Maharishi, in which he said that one should immediately change one's house to be a fortunate house. This, Maharishi says, is vital to our own well being—that we evacuate, just leave a non-Vastu home, a home that is not well oriented accordingto Vedic Architecture, 'as if it is on fire, or it's being destroyed by an earthquake.'
