Maharishi School, USA: Dr Bevan Morris addresses graduating class of 2008 -

In his address to the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment graduating class of 2008, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace*, discussed Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's description of Heaven on Earth, a time of all good now rising in the world. He told the graduates 'this is your world to create and to lead and to enjoy.
. . . I am so proud today to be with the future leaders of the golden age of the human race.'

Having presented Heaven on Earth as found in traditions throughout the world**, Dr Morris said during the 8 June ceremony, 'then finally an expression from the Vedic Tradition itself describing such an age. Maharishi says about it: ''Heaven on Earth will be characterized by the fulness of life spontaneously blossoming in every expression. With Heaven on Earth, society will be characterized by affluence and abundance at all times.''

'And this Maharishi correlated with the following expression from the Ramacharita Manasa: ''The appearance of Ayodhya made them forget all their asceticism. There were balconies inlaid with golden jewels, splendid pavements laid in diverse colors, magnificent forts on every side of the city with brightly painted battlements . . . and floors so beautifully inlaid with colored crystal. The glistening palaces were so lofty that they touched the sky with pinnacles that put to shame the brightness of sun and moon, while the lattices gleamed with jewels, and the jeweled lamps shone in every room. Everyone had a flower garden trimmed with greatest care, adorned with every kind of lovely creeper, blossoming as though it were perpetual spring. The palace gates were most magnificent. Squares and bazaars [were] all elegantly laid out. Everyone was happy, everyone wealthy and comely, men and women, young and old alike.''

'These were Maharishi's descriptions from his own experience of Heaven on Earth and the confirmation of this in all the great traditions of knowledge of the world. In the last year he gave a beautiful definition of such an age . . . . He explained on Akshaya Tritiya of April 2007, just over a year ago, that this definition of Raam Raj is that rain falls as needed, not only generally for the whole society, but even if one farmer needs one field to have rain, the rain will come to fulfill the individual needs and desires. Every individual in the whole society attains what he wants in complete harmony with the requirements of the society as a whole. . . .'

'So Maharishi's message to our graduating class today is that this is your world to create and to lead and to enjoy,' Dr Morris concluded.

'This is all on the basis of the gift of knowledge that Guru Dev*** gave to Maharishi. . . . He was the living reality of [the Vedic expression] ''The Knower of Brahm [Totality] is Brahm. So when we heard him speak, we heard Brahm itself speaking its own story to the world. There never has been anyone like him, who loved every human being on earth as his own self and never rested day and night in his blessing the world with knowledge to create a heavenly life for billions today on earth and hundreds of billions of people yet unborn. By what magic, by what miracle did we become his students? I am so proud to stand in the line of Guru Dev and Maharishi under the present great leadership of Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam who was so thrilled by our students when they came to MERU.

'I am so proud today to be with the future leaders of the golden age of the human race, our graduating class of 2008, who stand tall and great in the line of this supreme tradition of knowledge of the world, the Vedic Tradition.'

*Dr Morris is also President of Maharishi University of Management and Chairman of the Board of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment, both located in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
