Thailand and Southeast Asia: Rising invincibility through Maharishi's programmes

During a recent Global Family Chat and special session of the global Guru Purnima Celebration in MERU, the Netherlands, Dr Vikram Aditya, Raja (administrator) of Vedic Siam and Southeast Asia for the Global Country of World Peace, reflected on the achievements of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace. Raja Vikram described pivotal events in Thailand brought about by Maharishi's Vedic Science.

In the late 1970s, many people lost their lives in war in Southeast Asia, said Raja Vikram. Responding to the urgent need of the time, Maharishi established Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Courses and groups of Yogic Flyers, (experts in the Transcendental Meditation-Sidhi Programme) in Thailand. 'The collective consciousness of the nation began to rise to invincibility, thus safeguarding Thailand from going to war. Millions of lives were saved.'

In 1985, continued Raja Vikram, Maharishi sent forty members of his Purusha Programme* to Thailand; at that time twenty members of the Mother Divine Programme* also came to that country to implement special projects leading to thousands of students learning the Transcendental Meditation Technique.

In reviewing recent developments of the Global Country of World Peace in Southeast Asia, Raja Vikram reported that Consciousness-Based Education will be implemented in five schools, with 5,000 students learning Transcendental Meditation.

A university for single ladies has been inaugurated in Thailand. Lady Yogic Flyers can apply for the Mother Divine Programme* and pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Maharishi's Vedic Science. The university is three hours from Bangkok on fifty hectares of land, including organic gardens.

A Teacher Training Course will begin 28 October 2008 to create Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme for Myanmar, Laos, and other countries in Raja Vikram's domain that don't yet have teachers.

Concluding his presentation, Raja Vikram announced that leaders of the Global Country of World Peace in Thailand are ready to build the first of five Maharishi Towers of Invincibility. These towers are a perpetual memorial to over fifty years of Maharishi's global achievements, and to his Vedic Science that is bringing enlightenment to every individual and invincibility for every nation.

* The Maharishi Purusha Programme for men, and the Mother Divine Programme for ladies, have been designed for those who wish to dedicate themselves fully to the development of consciousness and creating world peace.
