Iceland: Global Country of World Peace leaders launch initiatives to restore nation's prosperity

Speaking 18 November 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Tom Stanley, Raja of Invincible Iceland for the Global Country of World Peace, reported plans to help reestablish financial prosperity for his domain through various initiatives.

After several years of great prosperity, Iceland has been hit hard by the current global financial crisis. 'Iceland's wealth was built upon unstable, risk-laden international investments,' commented Raja Stanley.

He reported that, in the coming months and years, he and other Global Country of World Peace leaders hope to rebuild the nation's prosperity through indigenous efforts—rather than dependence on the whims of foreign markets.

Among projects Raja Stanley plans to pursue are presenting the knowledge Raja John Hagelin has been bringing out regarding wealth and prosperity of nations, as well as developing Consciousness-Based Education programmes for schools. Raja Hagelin presented this approach, based on the knowledge and technologies of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, at a recent press conference in the heart of the financial district in New York City.

All of these initiatives will have their basis in an overall focus on creating invincibility for the whole nation through all of Maharishi's programmes to awaken total Natural Law in the life of every individual and in the entire country. 'With national invincibility, Iceland will have the basis for permanent prosperity.'
