India: Land of enlightenment and invincibility for the world - Dr Bevan Morris

On 28 March 2009, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, described his impressions from his recent three-month visit to India.

'First of all,' said Dr Morris, 'I gained a deep impression that India is the land of the Veda, land of Guru Dev*, and land of enlightenment and invincibility for the world.' Wherever he went in India, he said, he had the sense that at some point—recently or in the distant past—the greatest enlightened souls were walking on the same soil. 'With each step, I felt the influence of the Vedic tradition of Masters, of Guru Dev, who designed the life of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to change the whole world for all times.'

Dr Morris went on to say that, during his visit, he was touched by the devotion of the Maharishi Vedic Pandits—some of them very young. 'Seeing the many groups of Pandits established by Maharishi gave me a great sense of the potentiality of the world.' The Vedic Pandits, he said, will ensure the preservation of the Global Country of World Peace far into the future. 'They have been trained to preserve Heaven on Earth for a very long time to come.'

The third impression Dr Morris highlighted was his amazement at how much Maharishi accomplished in India—in so many different regions. In total, Maharishi established Vedic Pandit groups in 47 different locations throughout the country, to all of which he personally attended on every level.

'Finally,' said Dr Morris, 'I wanted to convey that the great Purusha** are well established in Uttar Kashi in the Himalayas.' Although Maharishi did not return to his home of Uttar Kashi, Dr Morris said, he did send a group of Purusha there to represent his supreme silence. The Purusha at Uttar Kashi are creating an intense effect of coherence and purity at the foundation of the Global Country of World Peace.

*Guru Dev: Maharishi's Master, Shri Guru Dev, His Divinity Brahmanand Saraswati, Jagatguru Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas. Guru Dev is revered as the embodiment of Vedic wisdom closest to Maharishi in the illustrious tradition of Vedic Masters who have passed down the eternal wisdom of life from teacher to student since time immemorial.
